Jaya Suartika (JAYAISM)

Working with a range of mediums, including jewellery, painting/printing, photography, perfume and tattoo.

Jewellery pieces are all hand made and consist of lost wax castings of solid silver or solid gold. Designs hold a focus on bold minimalism and statement aspects.

Painting mainly with straight brush and ink on paper or oils and acrylics on canvas. Printing done with lino/wood cut block.

Photography in the world of film using medium format 120 or 35mm film. With the digital side, all tattoos are captured on lens and street photography from world travels.

Perfume created using organic tinctures mixed with natural ethanol, to give an eau de parfum strength without taking away from the natural human pheromone. Created in small batch, keep an eye out for small releases.

Skin markings hold a strong focus on compositional form and flow with the human anatomy. Either focusing on bold detail and solid black, with a heavy acknowledgement to the values in negative space. Or heavy detailed solid block pattern work, with every single pattern tattooed being a unique creation for each client. Contrasting with intricate minimal adornments with concentrated attention to the human anatomy, minimalism and longevity. Predominantly working in black ink, yet open to full colour projects. Small single-sit pieces to large scale projects.
